Sometimes in life, people struggle to find the words to truly describe their feelings. Such was the case when we found out The Black Keys would be teaming up with rappers like Talib Kweli, The Cool Kids, and Wiz Khalifa for a new installment of their Blakroc project. Still, after careful consideration, we determined these 3 words best summed up our reaction:

For those who don’t know, the first installation of Blakroc came out back in 2009. That album featured The Black Keys collaborating with members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, and Q-Tip, amongst others. The album proved to be an underground hit with rock and rap fans alike, so it’s no surprise to hear they’ll be releasing a sequel, Blakroc 2, later this year.

We know a lot of you probably aren’t rap fans, and we get that. Most of the popular stuff is riddled with over-production, annoying auto-tune, and mindless lyrics. Still, there’s something about hearing these guys flow over The Black Keys dirty blues riffs that really appeals to the ears.

Superb post, i’ve just retweeted. The new hip hop artists just don’t kick it with as much feeling as old school Hip Hop guys.
