Over the past 20 years, Incubus fans and music lovers alike have grown to know and respect the work of Jose Pasillas. As one of the most talented drummers in rock, he’s helped Incubus to become one of the most successful and influential bands of their generation.

Of course, like all great artists, there is much depth to Pasillas. Now, for the first time, he’s showing fans a different side – unveiling his original art collection “Abstract + Rhythm Landscapes”.

Though Jose has created many art pieces for Incubus -  including band merch, posters, and album artwork – this is the first time he’s created a collection that is completely removed from the band. Still, his passion for music and love of the drums remained a key factor in this work.

For the project, Pasillas would play for 30 seconds using glow-in-the-dark drumsticks. Cameras captured the images, which were then transferred to canvas. From there, Jose would alter the images and paint over the top of them. The result is rhythm viewed in a new and revolutionary way that manages to be both raw and beautiful all at once.
