Things have been hectic for Tom DeLonge lately. If reuniting, touring, and recording a new album with Blink 182 wasn’t enough, he’s also got a new release from Angels and Airwaves coming out, with an AVA movie to boot! Still, even with all of this going on, he somehow found the time to stop by our studios for an interview.

There are so many labels you can put on bands these days – hark rock, indie, electronic - the list goes on and on. Still, even with all these sub-genres, it’s sometimes difficult to express exactly what a band sounds like. That’s the case for The Fling, a new group coming out of Long Beach, CA. If you wanted to call them folk or Americana, that’d be ok. With their Beatles like harmonies, an argument could be made for a 60′s pop type of label. However you want to describe them, one thing is for sure – this is a talented group of musicians who are clearly on the rise…
